THE CHALLENGE
Tails.com needed to upgrade their internal Google Slides template, not just to reflect a refreshed and evolving brand, but to actually work for the people using it.
The brief was to design a system that felt bolder, more playful, and easier to use. Something flexible enough for different teams, but still structured enough to keep every deck recognisably Tails.com.
There was also a technical challenge: As Google Slides doesn’t offer much control over placeholders or layout structure., the build had to work around those limitations without compromising the design.
The project evolved alongside the brand itself, turning into a long-term collaboration to build something that could scale across the business as the new brand was rolled out.
THE SOLUTION
Precision first, then platform
The template was built in PowerPoint first to allow full control over masters and layout logic. Once tested and set, it was imported into Google Slides, expanded, refined, and stress-tested for real-world use.
Structure without restriction
130+ slides were built to give teams options: layouts that flex with their needs, guidance built-in, and prompts to help users adapt without going off-brand. The system is structured, but doesn’t box anyone in.
Playful meets practical
Developed closely with the internal creative team, the design translates the brand’s energy into something that’s simple to use and hard to break. Clean enough for internal decks, but bold enough for creative moments.
RESULT
A flexible presentation system that feels like Tails.com. Playful, clear, and built to scale. Easy to use daily, smart enough to support bigger moments, and ready to evolve with the brand.
